I've made it through the first 10 pack of pills!!!!!!
I'm feeling good - my energy is up thanks to Herbalife and I've started making time to exercise! I've lost a little weight - thanks to Herbalife, not drinking alcohol and the massive amounts of water that runs through me. AND I'M STILL THIRSTY!
I was drinking Gatorade, but the sugar made me more thirsty so I've changed to Smartwater. One liter a day plus another liter or so of regular water or Herbalife tea.
My lips are super dry now - not painful, but I'm keeping chapstick stuff with me all the time. My face has started changing over the past couple of days. Only around my mouth and nose. It's not dry yet, but I can tell it will be if I don't moisturize. I actually cannot believe that I'm getting lotion anywhere near my face - trying to get over that fear!!
I've had a couple of bloody noses - nothing dripping out just kinda crusty(sorry if that was gross) - so I started using a saline spray. It doesn't seem to make a difference yet - this will definitely be one of the questions I ask at my one month mark.

Hi! I hope you don't mind me following along. I am 30 years old and I am on day 32 I think. So just a little ahead of you. I am loving this so far. My face is looking so much better all ready. Only down side is my dry, cracking, peeling lips. But that is a small price to pay! I hope you have great results!

Hi Kimmi, No, it's so nice to have someone on the same timeline!! My lips are bad too - I've found a Lip Serum bu Be Fine (sold at CVS) that I like better than the chap sticks.

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog. I am 39 and going to start next week. My acne didn't start until AFTER 35 - now my skin and face are a mess! Ugh - since I was clear and scar free before that. I am going to follow your progress because we are close in age. I feel like all I see are teens around and I can't really rely on them to be objective about their accutane journeys! Hope all is well!

ReplyDeleteHi there! My name is Rachel, I'm 31, and on day 4 of Accutane. I haven't noticed any side effects thus far but I'm not sure if it's because I've always drank a ton of water or what. I have been using emu oil & organic jojoba oil to moisturize every night since day 1 just to be safe. Oh, yeah, and aquaphor on the lips, too. I'm nervously awaiting any side effects or initial breakout but am hoping I'm one of those lucky people that doesn't have an IB or skin falling off. Good luck!
